Trade Groups
Every OCCIMA member belongs to a sector group. This is where industry-specific advocacy actually happens.
How They Work
Organised by Sector
OCCIMA's trade groups bring together members operating in the same industry. Each elects a chairman who sits on the chamber's council, so sector concerns reach the executive directly rather than through general correspondence.
Sector Advocacy
Issues specific to your industry raised directly with government.
Peer Network
Regular sessions with businesses facing the same conditions as yours.
Market Intelligence
Shared pricing, regulatory and market information within the group.
The Groups
Ten Sectors
Your sector not represented?
Where enough members operate in a sector without a group, the council will consider forming one.
Write to the secretariat setting out the sector and the businesses interested. A new group requires a minimum of ten Full or Corporate members.
